Understanding Coil Resistance (Ohms)
The term ‘Ohms’ refers to the level of resistance in a vape coil. Resistance determines how your e-liquid is heated and ultimately affects flavour, vapour production, and throat hit.
Sub-ohm coils (below 1.0Ω) are ideal for e-liquids with a higher VG content (60VG or more). These coils produce larger clouds and a more intense flavour but tend to have a shorter lifespan.
Standard coils (1.0Ω or above), such as the Innokin T18E’s 1.5Ω coils, are best suited to 50/50 and high PG e-liquids, including nic salts. They deliver a stronger throat hit, less vapour, and a longer coil life.
